TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY: FOREVER ALOE SUNSCREEN.

There have been numerous news items in recent years, relating to children suffering from vitamin D deficiency due in part, it seems, to the emphasis on using full sun 'block' which prevents the wholesome goodness of the sun's rays from being able to permeate at all.
I absolutely LOVE Forever's Aloe Sunscreen for two reasons...Firstly, the high aloe content means that it sinks into the skin incredibly quickly, without leaving a greasy residue.
Secondly, it is factor 30 so I can take my baby out into the sun safely knowing that he is protected but still getting the sun's goodness! Quite a few people have commented that he has a bit of a tan too  The cream is so moisturising that it even doubles as an after-sun!!

Clean 9 Conclusion and my RESULTS!!

 My Clean 9 results :

I lost a total of 10lbs!!

7cm of my waist

5cm off my hips and thighs

woohoo!!

The Clean 9 really does work, not only flushing your system of all the bad toxin build up but you end up feeling more energetic, healthier and in control of the foods you consume.

Today is day 2 after my clean 9, I haven't reached for fatty foods or scoffing my face. I still ended up preparing a healthy meal of Jacket potato, beans and some salad, I did treat my self to some cheese though, so I think my dinner was about 800 calories.
I am still having my daily shakes and supplements, I am just carrying on with the products and drinking the water and why not? they are good for you.

The next step in this programme would be to follow the Nutri-Lean, which is based on 1,500 calorie eating plan and is designed to help you loose weight gradually and healthy. Which is great for those who want to either continue to loose weight and keep the weight off.  (For more information on this, please contact me directly).

Tonight I am being treated to a Meal out.. with the family. I do think treating yourself to your favourite foods is a must. Yes you need to look after your health, improve your eating BUT if you don't treat yourself every now and again it's not really worth it is it?

Last night:
I still feel pretty good after the clean 9, it's has helped me control my eating, I know what foods I should be eating and what foods I shouldn't. Last night I did over Indulge with a starter and a main course which had me feeling full to the brim (which is not a good thing, you should eat to when you are satisfied) I even had a cheeky couple of wines, and I tell you now my body had got used to no alcohol so I was feeling pretty tipsy.

If any of you want to know more about the clean 9 please contact me I will help and support you every step of the way, as well as link you with a facebook support group where others are on the same plan.

HOT summer weekend (days 8+9)

Days 8 and 9 of my cleanse

First off let me apologise for not blogging over the weekend, I think you will agree that the weather was glorious and not appropriate for staying in doors.

Did you enjoy the summer sun? I hope you were fully protected. I was applying this bad boy and my skin feels amazing!!

Everything seems better when the sun shines, but this ‘silver lining’ brings its own cloud! With today’s knowledge of the dangers of over-exposure to the sun, we seek only the highest quality sun protection products available.
Aloe Sunscreen provides just that! Combining modern science with natural ingredients, this effective sunscreen helps to soothe, lubricate, moisturise and protect the skin against sun damage. With an SPF of 30, Aloe Sunscreen blocks both UVA and UVB rays, while this silky, smooth lotion made with pure stabilized Aloe Vera Gel, rich moisturisers and maintains the skin’s natural moisture balance.
High SPF for more sun protection.
Strong, water resistant formula which retains its SPF up to 40
minutes after water activity.
Moisturises skin to prolong your tan.
Safe and gentle enough for children.
Following my day in the sun, I applied the 100 % stabilised Aloe gelly which soothed and replenished my skin after sun exposure.

The weekend part of my clean 9 was pretty much the same in terms of I had no hunger pains, didn't over eat not was my energy lack. One thing I did different was up my water intake a bit more due to being in the sun all day.  At times during the day I was craving salt, Due to loss of minerals in the sun. but I just continued to drink water to over come this.
Day 8- I had jacket potato and Beans with salad (maybe a bit weird but I wanted some fresh produce) worked out to be around 450 calories. half a tin of baked beans is around 150 calories :-) I was so happy about this.
Day 9- We had family BBQ, which was amazing. I made sure we had loads of fresh foods like jackets potato, salads, vegetable kebabs, and I did make my own 'special burger' 75g extra lean mince in a whole grain pitta.

So I have finished my CLEAN 9 CLEANSE!! WOOHOOO.

I will do a conclusion blog either this evening or tomorrow with some inputs from my boyfriend on how I dealt with my hurdles and my overall well-being.. He has to live with me right.

Day Seven of my cleanse and I'm having a 'party'

Day Seven

So about a month ago I arranged to have some girls over for a night in...totally forgetting that I was on a clean 9 cleanse.. another 'DOH' moment. Here I am hosting an evening of nibbles and wine and can't touch any of it! but it is for a good cause so I am sticking at it. I decided to do a Macmillan night in and invite girls only for fun, giggles, nibbles and wine and to raise money to support Macmillan:
http://nightin.macmillan.org.uk/
If any of you would like to give  please visit https://www.justgiving.com/KizsNightIn.

Woke up this morning feeling fresh and ready to go! About 10 I started to feel abit droopy so I took my bee pollen. I'm not sure whether it was the heat in the office or lack of energy to be honest but the bee pollen did perk me up.

Preparing all the nibbles and bits for this evening, home-made salsa, dips, salads, cous cous olives, basically things that I could eat then to add to it for others crisps and bread. And cake, I love cake and an old friend made a gorgeous smelling ginger cake!! Nom nom nom going to save a piece of that for day 10! :-)

Can not wait:-)

I think I will be fine with all the foods around me at least I can pick at the healthy stuff.

Fingers crossed we raise some money.
Wish me luck :-)

Day Six- Weighin' Day

TODAY is Weighin'Day

So I was supposed to weigh myself this morning and I didn't have time so I did it when I got home.

These are my results :

Please to say I have lost 9lbs. WOW. The main area I was concious about my waist has gone down by 2cm. That's pretty good. From day 3 to day 8 I have lost 1lbm, the main weight loss was between days 1 and 2 which makes sense as these are the critical cleansing days.

This morning I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed. I felt that I had a great nights sleep, which is unusual for me. I was up out of bed and down stairs making coffee for Ed and the dogs didnt even stir, had to push them to go outside.

Once thing I know I did not do properly was drinking enough water. I do drink more than I used to, but you really do need to keep topped up with water. I was starting to get a headache whilst preparing dinner so I took my tablets and drank a pint, and then ate dinner.

Tonight I made Lemon Chicken with mushroom couscous salad and green beans totalling 409 calories.
I just kept being able to add a bit more food here and there when I was weighing them out.
I did make a rookie mistake by thinking 100g of couscous was 119cal and this was prior to cooking so I made 200g of the stuff and there was loads!!

Once thing that I tend have is a sauce with my meals, whether the meat is cooked in the sauce or I make a sauce on the side. But I haven't seemed to miss it that much so maybe we'll have plainer dishes from now one.
Tomorrow night as it Friday I am attempting making burger for the 600 calories...wish me luck

Day Five and I want a Porsche

Day 5 was pretty cool we had a team event and taken to Thruxton race track. Now I don't drive so I didn't expect to drive any cars.

I woke up had my Garcina, Aloe and then my shake. I made sure I had my shake for lunch bee pollen, and the Garcinia tablets in my bag as well as water.. And off we go!!

So we arrive at Thruxton and there are all these amazing super cars, there I was snapping away, thinking I'll have on one those one day ;-)
First activity of the day the skid pan looked Pretty scary, THEN I HAD A GO!!

This is particular massive as I have I only ever had two driving lessons in my life and those were with Ed! I was buzzing and not just off bee pollen.

Lunch time, Garcina tablets and another shakes... Had semi-skimmed milk as they didn't have any skimmed unfortunately, better to have it than not as it contains half your recommended daily nutrients and minerals.

Next the race track with all these beautiful super cars:

Ferrari
Aston Martin
Audio R8
Lamborghini
Porsche

I was able to ride as a passenger in all the cars and I was allowed to drive a white Porsche.
And I loved this little beauty...,

Probably cause I was allowed to drive it haha! It was chuffing brilliant though. I was very nervous to head off on the race track with all my colleagues driving super cars but my instructor was great and pushed me to hit 75mph wow!! May not seem fast to you but I've only ever driven 20mph

And I loved it.. Thinking of a change in career to track racing woohooo.

A little pic of me about to be driven in a Lamborghini  :-P  We hit 150mph and I think it safe to say I nearly pee'd my pants!!

Ok so what your probably wanting to know is how my day went with this cleanse, well I was on a high anyway from driving and I don't remember feeling hungry. This might have been the cars and my adrenalin but unfortunately I couldn't tell you.

The guys there was so accommodating, I even won an award:
         'The most improved driver'

What I really wanted to do was open the champagne and spray it everywhere!!
Haha but I really couldn't get any worse could I?

My dinner tonight careful prepared, weighted, calorie, counted then cooked by my lovely fella:

Drum roll please..... Calorie content = 510 BOOM!! still couldn't eat it all though.

I am wanting sweet things, sweets, chocolate, cake something.. so I have made myself a lemon tea.
Lemon tea is amazing, not only good for you but the warmth of the cup in your hands soothes you, keeps you calm and your hands busy.

Weigh'in day tomorrow.. catch up with you then xx

Day Four of Clean 9 Cleanse

Day Four

So today I did struggle to get up, I don't think any more than normal I'm just not much of a morning person.
But I arrive to work on time and had my morning shake, I felt great, not hunger pains or lack of energy.

Day four is the half way mark, through this programme and I can honestly say

What I ate on Day 4 (Usual for Days 3 - 9):Morning:
  • 2 Forever Garcinia Plus Capsules
  • 120ml Aloe Vera Gel + 240ml water
  • 1 Scoop of Forever Lite Ultra shake with soya milk (or skimmed if preferred)
Snack: 2 Forever Bee Pollent tablets + 240ml water

Lunch:
  • 2 Forever  Garcinia Plus Capsules
  • 1 Scoop of Forever Lite Ultra shake with soya milk (or skimmed if preferred)
  • 2 Forever Bee Pollent tablets + 240ml water
Dinner
  • 2 Forever  Garcinia Plus Capsules
  • 120ml Aloe Vera Gel + 240ml water
  • medium size chicken breast, new potatoes and veg works at 436 calories
  • 2 Forever Bee Pollen tablets
Again I could not eat all the meal  and to be honest the portions are quite big, you just need to select fresh foods.

Business Open Evening

Tonight we also hosted an open evening in to my umbrella company and had some of the top business mentors and trainers at this event this evening.
Reliving their path of success, answering questions and showing you how to renew yours. So inspiring to see all these new faces how could be on stage next year in Singapore receiving their very own chairman's bonus.

If you want to know more about this opportunity please get in touch, but for now here are some more details:

Clean 9 Day Three

Day Three

Seeing as it's a Monday I am back at my day job.. I work at JLR Monday-Friday and work my business around my full-time job.

Waking up and going to work was fine, had a pretty busy morning with scheduled meetings to attend so I didnt notice any hunger, except once when my stomach grumbled whilst in the middle of a meeting... was quite embarrassing although it did give me a chance to explain I doing the clean 9 cleanse and hadn't drunk enough water ;-) you never know they may want to purchase one later

I love today. not hungery or lacking energy. I included cucumber and celery with a bit of hummus for my lunch which I will take of the calories from tonight's meal.

Looking forward to going to a run this evening now as I am not worried about fainting. Its 7km as we are training for the wolf run which is in about a month so we need to hit that 7km mark. There is a group of us running under Bravissimo (where my best mate works) and we are raising money for Mind.

Run for your Mind!

taking part in the Wolf Run on 14th June for Mind - The Mental Health Charity because we want to change the stigma around mental health!
http://www.justgiving.com/runforyourmindbravissimo

We ran 6.5 km, in 46 mins so pretty proud of that.

Afterwards I was able to have FOOD
Calorie content:
Potato: 315
Cottage cheese: 48
Rocket: 3
Other salad: 25
Tuna. 1/4 of a pot: 25

Total: 416

And I was full afterwards, this makes me happy :-)

If I take the calories from the cucumber and hummus I had at lunch I still have around 100 calories to eat woohoo

I'm getting to know this calorie malarkey. Never before have I counted calories not sure if I will keep this up as a habit but we will see

Clean 9 Day Two

Day Two

This morning there was no real lay in, alarm was set for 8 am.. got up at half past maybe.. took my garcinia and my aloe and quickly got ready for my friends little boy's christening.

I had forgotten take my bee pollen with me and had to stop off at a shop so I had water with me... note to self be prepared.

Anyway after a beautiful ceremony and seeing old friends, there was a huge buffet laid out. with loads of amazing foods.. like whole salmon, salads, dips and so forth. they had an amazing cake, so I shortly made my excuses to leave so I was tempted to spurge on the lovely treats laid out.

So today I didn't exactly follow the plan as I think I went too long without any supplements, so I had my 'lunch' and my shakey feelings hadn't subsided so I can a couple of sticks of cucumber. I know I didn't drink enough water due to rushing this morning and socialising with friends and meeting new people so I think this is why I felt I needed something to eat. I choose cucumber because from day three I can eat as much of it as I want as it has no calories. I think this was probably a mind thing with no eating for over 24 hours but after that and lots more water I was back to my normal self and had an enjoyable walk with my two pooches.

I think the last two days have been better than I expected. I am feeling fine, when I thought I would be over-come with hunger. My sleep last night was really good, generally I wake up so often but last night I slept through and was one of the best sleeps I have had. Now I am not saying that it was easy and it does take will power but I believe if I had stuck to drinking enough and taking my supplements at the right time.

Clean 9 Day One

The Clean 9
DAY ONE

Right so this morning I weighed myself and measured myself. I did not like this one bit.. However I will share with you....

I did not like weighing myself, as I was always a slim size 8 and have never weighed over 8.5 stone, even when I wasn't actively keeping fit. The past few months I have been feeling down about my body, about the way I looked, and about the fact I couldn't wear my favourite Jeans any-more. I am not over weight, I know that, But the fact that my body has changed so drastically the past 6 - 12 months has made me feel that I am.

Today I am going to put details of the products I am using for those of you who are unsure of what they do and how they help. For more info though please visit my website www.nutrivine.co.uk or contact me directly. I promise I wont put so much details on following blogs.

This morning I had the Garcinia tablets 20 minutes before 120 ml of aloe and I am remembering to drink lots of water.
Garcinia aids natural metabolism. Helps lower cholesterol and fatty acids AND Helps development of healthy skin hair and nails woop. But the reason it is part of the detox programme is because it is a natural appetite suppressant

Aloe Vera Gel has numerous health benefits, the main being Maintains energy levels
Helps to relieve IBS and maintain a healthy digestive system
Lowers high cholesterol
Balances the immune system

Then as a mid morning 'snack' is swallowing 2 forever bee pollen tablets.
Bee pollen is a boost of energy and stamina. Can also assist in maintaining a healthy circulatory, digestive, immune and nervous system. Pretty good so far.
My energy levels were ok at this point and I wasnt feeling hungry.

My sister came round to pop round my moms and go into town. OH MY GOD.. as soon as we walked in to mom's house. Food was EVERYWHERE.. not a good thing for a foodie like me. She was preparing for the Belgian Beer tasting this evening at the tennis club in which she has organised. There was loads of gorgeous foods, including chocolate brownie.. but GO ME I did not cave!!

However on the way home after a bit of shopping I was feeling a little shakey.. so I had a nap after my lunch as recommended by my sister and it worked.

My lunch consists of 2 more Garcinia capsules again 20 minutes before 120 ml of Aloe Vera Gel. 240 ml or there abouts of water, followed by the bee pollen tablets.

DINNER so excited for dinner, got me shake onnn :-)
Again 2 Garcinia capules before the 120ml of Aloe.. I think you get the gist here :-) but this time I get to have the Forever lite Ultra shake. As I said yesterday there are two flavours vanilla and chocolate. I have both tubs though so I have the choice (I took it regularly as a breakfast supplement basically cause it was quick and easy).

It's high in protein, contains your recommended daily amount of vitamins and minerals. Also contains Aminotein which is a blend of enzymes specifically designed to break down protein in your diet (basically really good for those who are active and/or body building).

I am feeling great actually. It is weird not eating though or snacking. I believe it becomes a habit when you constantly snack. Your mind thinks you need it when your body actually doesn't.
I stocked up on lemons so I can have something tastier than water. So I can drink Lemon water or got lemon. Lemons are really good for you too and a great detoxifier.

Later on this evening I will be having another 120 ml of Aloe Vera.

AHH Ed has just fed the dogs and it doesn't smell like the horrible dog tins.. It smells like casserole.. looks like I am in great need of my protein shake.

Clean 9 My Goals

The Clean 9
-Advertised by me and thousands of forever living distributors.. but does it actually work? I am on the path to find out.

I've been told that I am more likely to stick with this programme or any kind of weight-loss or fitness programme if I think carefully about what I am hoping to achieve and WRITE these goals down and track you daily meals as well as recording my progress. God job the pack comes with a booklet for you to log your weight and measurements.

MY GOALS
Goal One :I want to be slimmer,
I want to get back to how my body used to be, back to when I could where what ever I wanted. I am not a fan of how I look at them moment, I have developed a bit of a tummy from not exercising and snacking on crisps and chocolate. I want to start wearing my beautiful pencil dresses or maxi dresses without feeling concious cause my tummy is poking out.

Goal Two: Eat Healthier
Both my partner and I run particularly busy lives. He runs his own business and I work full time as well as running my forever business. So we have both become lazy in terms of cooking and preparing healthy meal and instead tending to reach for ready meals you can bung in the microwave.. or the take-ways we both enjoy so much.. Dominoes Pizza being the ultimate favourite with all the extras chicken wings, potato wedges dough balls you name it. More food than the two of us should be able to consume. Another favourite is Paw Paw and we get a family feast which is aimed for 4 people and the two of us polish it off.
Yes they maybe tasty and I agree once in a while it's nice to have a treat in resonable amounts.

Goal Three: Prove this works
Since beginning my new adventure with Forever, I know this is a key product to distribute. Everybody is looking for a way to loose a bit of extra weight or get in to a habit of looking after your body by eating the right foods. So what better way to advise customer when I have done this myself?

I was also curious as I know a lot of people who have completed the 9 day detox (My parents, My sister, My best friend) so I figured it was well over-due for me to have a go.

These are my sister's before and after photos.. I think she did well don't you?

There is a lot of hype around this particular product. Celebrities have tried it, Victoria Beckham for one. There was also an article on our very own clean 9 in Cosmopolitan.

Clean 9 Preparation

Since deciding to re-visit our Clean 9 cleansing program, (and actually following the guidelines this time) I have decided to become a blogger to log my experiences and struggles, if any).

When I first tried the Clean 9, I very stupidly did not read the instruction booklet before hand. The first two days consist of  taking the Aloe drinks and supplement in the pack INCLUDING the forever lite ultra shake.
Which comes in tasty flavours of Chocolate or Vanilla. When I first attempted this, I took all the supplements and drank the aloe and lots of water.... but for some reason I got it in my head that, that was it... So I missing out on the shake which contains all the nutrients and minerals you need daily.. DOH so no wonder I struggled.

So the last few days I have been cutting out coffee and alcohol as these can cause headaches when you suddenly stop drinking them..This has been hard because I love coffee, I got into the habit of drinking a cup of coffee every morning... safe to say yesterday I went without.. This morning however I caved, made a cup, sniffed it a lot. I took 1 sip then threw it down the sink. WILLPOWER

I have upped my intake of water.. which I should have done years ago. Not particularly found of the taste but hey ho its good for you right?

Another area that I have had to do was cut out chocolate, and I am a chocoholic always have been. Both me and my partner (Ed) do have a sweet tooth. As does my best mate so I might have to choose who I see over the next 9 days!!

I did cave yesterday and had some Mars planets. But Ed is now under strict instructions not to eat any chocolate around me or buy any or have any in our home!! Poor Guy ;-)  I am just hoping the Chocolate shake fills my urge to reach for a packet.

WISH ME LUCK.. DAY 1 STARTS TOMORROW
