TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY: FOREVER ALOE SUNSCREEN.

There have been numerous news items in recent years, relating to children suffering from vitamin D deficiency due in part, it seems, to the emphasis on using full sun 'block' which prevents the wholesome goodness of the sun's rays from being able to permeate at all.
I absolutely LOVE Forever's Aloe Sunscreen for two reasons...Firstly, the high aloe content means that it sinks into the skin incredibly quickly, without leaving a greasy residue.
Secondly, it is factor 30 so I can take my baby out into the sun safely knowing that he is protected but still getting the sun's goodness! Quite a few people have commented that he has a bit of a tan too  The cream is so moisturising that it even doubles as an after-sun!!

Clean 9 Conclusion and my RESULTS!!

 My Clean 9 results :

I lost a total of 10lbs!!

7cm of my waist

5cm off my hips and thighs

woohoo!!

The Clean 9 really does work, not only flushing your system of all the bad toxin build up but you end up feeling more energetic, healthier and in control of the foods you consume.

Today is day 2 after my clean 9, I haven't reached for fatty foods or scoffing my face. I still ended up preparing a healthy meal of Jacket potato, beans and some salad, I did treat my self to some cheese though, so I think my dinner was about 800 calories.
I am still having my daily shakes and supplements, I am just carrying on with the products and drinking the water and why not? they are good for you.

The next step in this programme would be to follow the Nutri-Lean, which is based on 1,500 calorie eating plan and is designed to help you loose weight gradually and healthy. Which is great for those who want to either continue to loose weight and keep the weight off.  (For more information on this, please contact me directly).

Tonight I am being treated to a Meal out.. with the family. I do think treating yourself to your favourite foods is a must. Yes you need to look after your health, improve your eating BUT if you don't treat yourself every now and again it's not really worth it is it?

Last night:
I still feel pretty good after the clean 9, it's has helped me control my eating, I know what foods I should be eating and what foods I shouldn't. Last night I did over Indulge with a starter and a main course which had me feeling full to the brim (which is not a good thing, you should eat to when you are satisfied) I even had a cheeky couple of wines, and I tell you now my body had got used to no alcohol so I was feeling pretty tipsy.

If any of you want to know more about the clean 9 please contact me I will help and support you every step of the way, as well as link you with a facebook support group where others are on the same plan.

HOT summer weekend (days 8+9)

Days 8 and 9 of my cleanse

First off let me apologise for not blogging over the weekend, I think you will agree that the weather was glorious and not appropriate for staying in doors.

Did you enjoy the summer sun? I hope you were fully protected. I was applying this bad boy and my skin feels amazing!!

Everything seems better when the sun shines, but this ‘silver lining’ brings its own cloud! With today’s knowledge of the dangers of over-exposure to the sun, we seek only the highest quality sun protection products available.
Aloe Sunscreen provides just that! Combining modern science with natural ingredients, this effective sunscreen helps to soothe, lubricate, moisturise and protect the skin against sun damage. With an SPF of 30, Aloe Sunscreen blocks both UVA and UVB rays, while this silky, smooth lotion made with pure stabilized Aloe Vera Gel, rich moisturisers and maintains the skin’s natural moisture balance.
High SPF for more sun protection.
Strong, water resistant formula which retains its SPF up to 40
minutes after water activity.
Moisturises skin to prolong your tan.
Safe and gentle enough for children.
Following my day in the sun, I applied the 100 % stabilised Aloe gelly which soothed and replenished my skin after sun exposure.

The weekend part of my clean 9 was pretty much the same in terms of I had no hunger pains, didn't over eat not was my energy lack. One thing I did different was up my water intake a bit more due to being in the sun all day.  At times during the day I was craving salt, Due to loss of minerals in the sun. but I just continued to drink water to over come this.
Day 8- I had jacket potato and Beans with salad (maybe a bit weird but I wanted some fresh produce) worked out to be around 450 calories. half a tin of baked beans is around 150 calories :-) I was so happy about this.
Day 9- We had family BBQ, which was amazing. I made sure we had loads of fresh foods like jackets potato, salads, vegetable kebabs, and I did make my own 'special burger' 75g extra lean mince in a whole grain pitta.

So I have finished my CLEAN 9 CLEANSE!! WOOHOOO.

I will do a conclusion blog either this evening or tomorrow with some inputs from my boyfriend on how I dealt with my hurdles and my overall well-being.. He has to live with me right.

Day Seven of my cleanse and I'm having a 'party'

Day Seven

So about a month ago I arranged to have some girls over for a night in...totally forgetting that I was on a clean 9 cleanse.. another 'DOH' moment. Here I am hosting an evening of nibbles and wine and can't touch any of it! but it is for a good cause so I am sticking at it. I decided to do a Macmillan night in and invite girls only for fun, giggles, nibbles and wine and to raise money to support Macmillan:
http://nightin.macmillan.org.uk/
If any of you would like to give  please visit https://www.justgiving.com/KizsNightIn.

Woke up this morning feeling fresh and ready to go! About 10 I started to feel abit droopy so I took my bee pollen. I'm not sure whether it was the heat in the office or lack of energy to be honest but the bee pollen did perk me up.

Preparing all the nibbles and bits for this evening, home-made salsa, dips, salads, cous cous olives, basically things that I could eat then to add to it for others crisps and bread. And cake, I love cake and an old friend made a gorgeous smelling ginger cake!! Nom nom nom going to save a piece of that for day 10! :-)

Can not wait:-)

I think I will be fine with all the foods around me at least I can pick at the healthy stuff.

Fingers crossed we raise some money.
Wish me luck :-)

Day Six- Weighin' Day

TODAY is Weighin'Day

So I was supposed to weigh myself this morning and I didn't have time so I did it when I got home.

These are my results :

Please to say I have lost 9lbs. WOW. The main area I was concious about my waist has gone down by 2cm. That's pretty good. From day 3 to day 8 I have lost 1lbm, the main weight loss was between days 1 and 2 which makes sense as these are the critical cleansing days.

This morning I woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed. I felt that I had a great nights sleep, which is unusual for me. I was up out of bed and down stairs making coffee for Ed and the dogs didnt even stir, had to push them to go outside.

Once thing I know I did not do properly was drinking enough water. I do drink more than I used to, but you really do need to keep topped up with water. I was starting to get a headache whilst preparing dinner so I took my tablets and drank a pint, and then ate dinner.

Tonight I made Lemon Chicken with mushroom couscous salad and green beans totalling 409 calories.
I just kept being able to add a bit more food here and there when I was weighing them out.
I did make a rookie mistake by thinking 100g of couscous was 119cal and this was prior to cooking so I made 200g of the stuff and there was loads!!

Once thing that I tend have is a sauce with my meals, whether the meat is cooked in the sauce or I make a sauce on the side. But I haven't seemed to miss it that much so maybe we'll have plainer dishes from now one.
Tomorrow night as it Friday I am attempting making burger for the 600 calories...wish me luck

Day Five and I want a Porsche

Day 5 was pretty cool we had a team event and taken to Thruxton race track. Now I don't drive so I didn't expect to drive any cars.

I woke up had my Garcina, Aloe and then my shake. I made sure I had my shake for lunch bee pollen, and the Garcinia tablets in my bag as well as water.. And off we go!!

So we arrive at Thruxton and there are all these amazing super cars, there I was snapping away, thinking I'll have on one those one day ;-)
First activity of the day the skid pan looked Pretty scary, THEN I HAD A GO!!

This is particular massive as I have I only ever had two driving lessons in my life and those were with Ed! I was buzzing and not just off bee pollen.

Lunch time, Garcina tablets and another shakes... Had semi-skimmed milk as they didn't have any skimmed unfortunately, better to have it than not as it contains half your recommended daily nutrients and minerals.

Next the race track with all these beautiful super cars:

Ferrari
Aston Martin
Audio R8
Lamborghini
Porsche

I was able to ride as a passenger in all the cars and I was allowed to drive a white Porsche.
And I loved this little beauty...,

Probably cause I was allowed to drive it haha! It was chuffing brilliant though. I was very nervous to head off on the race track with all my colleagues driving super cars but my instructor was great and pushed me to hit 75mph wow!! May not seem fast to you but I've only ever driven 20mph

And I loved it.. Thinking of a change in career to track racing woohooo.

A little pic of me about to be driven in a Lamborghini  :-P  We hit 150mph and I think it safe to say I nearly pee'd my pants!!

Ok so what your probably wanting to know is how my day went with this cleanse, well I was on a high anyway from driving and I don't remember feeling hungry. This might have been the cars and my adrenalin but unfortunately I couldn't tell you.

The guys there was so accommodating, I even won an award:
         'The most improved driver'

What I really wanted to do was open the champagne and spray it everywhere!!
Haha but I really couldn't get any worse could I?

My dinner tonight careful prepared, weighted, calorie, counted then cooked by my lovely fella:

Drum roll please..... Calorie content = 510 BOOM!! still couldn't eat it all though.

I am wanting sweet things, sweets, chocolate, cake something.. so I have made myself a lemon tea.
Lemon tea is amazing, not only good for you but the warmth of the cup in your hands soothes you, keeps you calm and your hands busy.

Weigh'in day tomorrow.. catch up with you then xx
